Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas
Mushtaq Minhas was born on 12 June 1965 in Bagh, Azad Kashmir and gets his early education from his hometown. After completing matriculation from Govt. Pilot High School, Bagh Azad Kashmir, Mushtaq Minhas moved to Lahore for higher education and got admission in Forman Christian College Lahore. In 1989, Mushtaq Minhas had completed his B.A in Political Science and Journalism and got admission in Punjab University, Lahore. In 1992, he had completed his Masters in Mass Communication from Punjab University. Throughout his studies, Mushtaq Minhas had proved himself as a talented and obedient student and had a passion to join journalism field.
Joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)
He later joined PML(N) and Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif welcomed the joining of renowned journalist and anchor-person Mushtaq Minhas in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Kashmir.
Won the LA-14 Bagh-II seat in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2016 elections
On 21, July 2016 Famous anchorperson and senior journalist Mushtaq Minhas won the LA-14 Bagh II seat in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2016 elections. According to unofficial results, the PML-N candidate Minhas received 31829 votes and Mushtaq Minhas Finally Got Ministry in Azad Kashmir Cabinet. He is currently Minister Information Technology/Tourism in Azad Kashmir Pakistan
Best Reporter Award
Government of Pakistan had awarded Mushtaq Minhas "Best Reporter Award" for his outstanding and quality reporting during Earthquake, in 2005.
Mushtaq Minhas is also socially active personality and he has been associated with different renowned journalist unions of Pakistan. He is also a member of federal executive council of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ). He had also worked as a President and Secretary of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club. Mushtaq Minhas also fight for the rights of journalists of Pakistan and leaded many protests against firing of journalists from different media organizations of the country.
