On February 26, 2024, a significant meeting took place among key stakeholders, including the AJ&K Election Commission, AJ&K IT Board, and NADRA, to discuss the implementation of the Centralized Electoral Role System (CERS) in the AJK Election Commission. Chaired by the Secretary of AJ&K Election Commission, the meeting featured a presentation by Dr. Khalid Rafique, the Director General of AJK IT Board, who briefed attendees on the “Automation of Election Commission in AJ&K” project. The collaboration with NADRA indicated a strategic move towards leveraging technology for more efficient and transparent electoral processes. The meeting underscored a commitment to modernizing the electoral system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir through the integration of advanced systems and automation.
