Under the presidency of Secretary Information Technology Azad Kashmir, Khalid Mahmood Mirza, a meeting of all departments biometric focal persons was held on Thursday. The meeting was attended by key personnel of all departments, including Director-General IT Board Dr. Khalid Rafique, Director Implementation Prime Minister’s Secretariat Arshad Nadeem. The meeting discussed the complexities of the biometric attendance system from various department perspectives.
It was decided in the meeting that the responsibility for the protection of installed biometric devices in departments would lie with the respective department. All departments, especially the Education Department, will be linked with the central dashboard of the IT Board for their biometric systems. The IT Board will provide training to focal persons to enhance the effectiveness of the biometric attendance system and ensure immediate issue resolution through a WhatsApp group.
Departments not having installed biometric devices will prompt the IT Board to take action so that necessary biometric machines can be installed as per requirements. Secretary Information Technology stated in conversation that all departments should ensure the certainty of biometric attendance as per the instructions of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. All issues faced by departments will be immediately addressed as per the notices of the Information Technology Board. A WhatsApp group of focal persons is being formed to ensure immediate guidance. Training of focal persons will be ensured so that immediate resolution of issues can be achieved.
